Application deadline extended: join our AGePOP team!

The AGePOP consortium will train a total of 11 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs). While several positions have already been filled, you can still join the team as an ESR in one of the following projects:

  • ESR 04: Physicochemical characteristics of upper gastrointestinal contents of older people and their impact on oral drug absorption.
  • ESR 08: Intestinal drug disposition in older people and in geriatric patients with Alzheimer’s disease.
  • ESR 09: The leakiness of gastrointestinal epithelium of older people and its impact on oral drug absorption.
  • ESR 10: Application of PBB/PBPK software tools to predict oral drug absorption in older people and geriatric patients and development of an absorption risk calculator to assess the probability of adverse effects in older people due to altered pharmacokinetics.

While working on your own research project, you will collaborate with the other AGePOP ESRs and contribute to developing a better understanding of the gastrointestinal tract, focusing on the advanced age population. AGePOP will provide you with the opportunity of conducting multidisciplinary research in drug development under the guidance of an international team of experts, complemented by training in transferable skills that will help you throughout your project and set you up for a successful future career.
