The impact of advanced age and age-related diseases on drug absorption is little researched. Make a difference by joining the AGePOP network as an Early Stage Researcher!

You will pursue your individual project, Intestinal drug disposition in older people and in geriatric patients with Alzheimer’s disease, based at KU Leuven in Belgium, where you will be enrolled in a PhD programme, and with a secondment at Merck Healthcare in Germany. The aim of the project is to create reference data of the physiological characteristics of the gastrointestinal tract of these patients and to improve PBPK models to evaluate drug absorption. In addition, together with other Early Stage Researchers (ESRs), you will be trained in transferable skills and have the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines.
